SustAInability in nature

Monday, April 17, 2023

AI is a frontier teeming with possibilities and has the potential to improve our natural environment in a number of ways. During Earth Month, the Territory team explores AI’s nuances, questions, and capabilities. We want to explore how AI might help us improve sustainability by enabling us to make more informed decisions about how we use resources and interact with the environment.

Join us as we ‘imagine if AI …’ and see what questions they inspire for yourself.

Recycling

Imagine if AI could help educate consumers about the importance of recycling and how to properly recycle the different materials that they might normally put in the trash. Imagine if AI could help us recycle a higher percentage of materials by accurately identifying and sorting recyclables and compostables.

Energy Grid

Imagine if AI could help energy companies optimize the use of renewable resources before utilizing fossil fuels. Imagine if AI could analyze household energy consumption and make personalized recommendations on reducing consumption or optimizing sustainable energy use.
Food Imagine if AI could help you find more locally sourced food, reducing the need for food that is shipped worldwide. Imagine if AI could help restaurants track what foods they are wasting most, and recommend areas of improvement and actions to reduce food waste in the future.
